Lori Goldberg and her team at Silverlight Digital are pleased to announce today that the organization has received WBENC Certification as a Woman-Owned Business operating in the State of New York. The media agency provides digital and multi-channel media strategy, including media planning and buying, SEM, SEO, video, mobile, behavioral insights, analytics, influencing payers and point-of-care audiences, specialty journal publishers, social media, and programmatic.
Silverlight Digital has twice been named an MM&M 100 Healthcare Agency and was a recent finalist for MM&M’s Small Healthcare Agency of the Year. In addition to pharma and healthcare clients, the agency’s focus includes travel, retail and more.
The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S. and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs.
WBENC Certification validates that Silverlight Digital is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by Lori Goldberg, who in addition to being the owner is the founder and CEO. WBENC’s world-class certification standard is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and government entities.
Lori exemplifies the shared mission of empowerment that WBENC promotes. This occurs not only in her professional work but in her advocacy for women’s roles in the digital media and advertising industry.
Lori draws from her experience as being the “only female” member of a 12-person management and board at her previous agency. This experience motivated her to become the owner of her agency – Silverlight Digital – in 2014.
“In today’s male-dominated agency leadership roles, Silverlight Digital is a rare example of a female-owned healthcare agency,” said Lori, who uses her position to be a voice for other women wanting to create similar opportunities in their work. She has volunteered her time to speak at events where companies are lacking female role models.
To achieve WBENC Certification, Silverlight Digital completed a formal documentation and site visit process which is administered by WBENC’s New York office. WBENC Certification gives Silverlight Digital the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members and government agencies.
